Art & Media Submissions

The My Galvanized Friend literary magazine is published quarterly (starting June, 2024) and is focused on highlighting works from those identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Each 40-page issue includes fiction, nonfiction, and essays between 500 and 3,500 words as well as works of poetry and original works of art by queer artists across the United States. Submissions must be LGBTQIA+ content created by LGBTQIA+ identified submitters.

We review submissions year-round and seek to provide responses within 3-4 weeks. However, periods surrounding publication may see slight delays in feedback. We do accept simultaneous submissions but ask that we are notified timely of any piece accepted at an alternate publication or otherwise withdrawn from consideration.

Upon acceptance, My Galvanized Friend receives non-exclusive worldwide rights to publication. The creator’s name will be listed as submitted including any pseudonyms or privacy as requested. Selected art or media will be paid an honorarium of $10 per image or $25 for cover art selections. Payments will be exclusively digital (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle).
